I had a someone call me a few months ago in a panic. That’s not an unusual situation, but it turns out their situation was unusual – their husband was arrested, on their birthday, when coming off of their cruise ship out of Mobile.
He didn’t commit a crime on the cruise ship. No, it turns out he had an arrest warrant he didn’t know about. He was secretly indicted from another state.

Once he was leaving the cruise ship, Customs checked for warrants. He was then arrested in Mobile, thousands of miles from home, and had to sit in jail for a few days until I could get him a bond and get him out of jail.
Mobile finally has a cruise ship back, but make sure if you want to go on the cruise, you should check for arrest warrants. Otherwise, you could be arrested in a far away jurisdiction unable to make bond.
